Poem Idea - Success

Success is something many strive for. However, the definitions of success are different for every individual and vary for each situation. Success for a 5-year old may be tying her shoe. Success for a teenager may be obtaining their driver’s license and obtain a physical sense of freedom.

If you are having challenges getting started, list some words or phrases that specify what success means…once you have these in, work each word into a line of your verse. Carefully place the vision so that your poem leads you and your reader in the direction you defined as success for your poem. If you fall short, show how short you fell from success in this endeavor.
